MH Wilds - How to Fast Travel
Fast travel by opening the map and selecting a base camp, pop-up camp, or settlement in Monster Hunter Wilds. Learn how to fast travel, how to add fast travel locations, and see a list of all fast travel points in the game in this guide.

How to Fast Travel

  1. Select a Camp on the Map
  2. Set a Waypoint if You Can't Fast Travel
  3. Select World Map and Pick a Locale

Select a Camp on the Map

To fast travel, you'll need to select a camp on the map. This can be any type of camp, whether it be the Base Camp or one of your Pop-Up Camps scattered around in the wild.

How to Use Camping Kit

You Can Fast Travel While in Combat

Combat

Unlike some of the older games, you can fast travel while you're in the middle of combat. However, you can't open the map using the regular button, and you'll need to open it via the menu under the Info tab.

Set a Waypoint if You Can't Fast Travel

Seikret Auto-Travel
If you want to go somewhere that's not a camp, then you'll need to travel there manually. Thankfully, you can set a waypoint on the map and your Seikret will take you there.

You can easily fast travel between Locales once you unlock them using the World Map. There are five main Locales, and three special locations. Select one to travel to its designated Base or Pop-Up Camp.

Progress the Story to Unlock Locales

Story
The other way to add fast travel points in the game is by unlocking locales through story progression, as this allows you to access more base camps and settlements for fast travel.

Check out the map above to see all the base camps and settlements in each locale and all possible pop-up camp locations.

Since the game limits you to only four pop-up camps, it's best to set up one in locations with complicated layouts, such as Oilwell Basin and Iceshard Cliffs, to maximize fast travel points. You can skip Windward Plains since it's easy to navigate and has a settlement you can use for fast travel.
