Monster Hunter Wilds - How Do Quest Rewards Work

You can get various rewards for completing quests in Monster Hunter Wilds. Read on to learn all types of rewards you can get for completing quests and investigations!

Quest Rewards Explained

Target Rewards

Target Rewards are materials that you can get after hunting a monster, whether from slaying or capturing it. These are the basic rewards you can get from defeating a monster during a quest or an investigation.

General Quest Rewards

You can also get other items and materials as rewards for completing quests and investigations. These range from items that are generally needed for healing, or bones and ores that are needed to craft weapons and armor.

Bonus Rewards

Bonus Rewards, as the name suggests, are extra materials that you can get after successfully hunting a monster. The materials and amount you can get are random per monster.

You can check the possible Bonus Rewards for a monster in a locale in the Environment Overview menu while looking at the map.

Zenny and Guild Points

Other than items and materials, you can also earn Zenny, which is the currency in the game, and Guild Points whenever you complete a quest or investigation.

Do note that the Zenny you can earn per quest may have some deductions on whether if you are playing with other hunters or depending on how many times you have fainted during the hunt.

Mission Rewards

As you progress through the game's story chapters, you will also earn rewards for completing missions.

Story chapters and missions have never been implemented in previous mainline Monster Hunter games, and is a first in Monster Hunter Wilds.
