Is Jeht Playable?

Jeht is currently a non-playable character. She debuted in the Golden Slumber World Quest, and has since then didn't show any sign of possessing a Vision. This means that it's less likely she'll become playable in the future.

Having said this, gaining a Vision isn't the deciding factor to becoming a playable character! It can be remembered that Rana from the Aranyaka World Quest is an NPC who had been granted a Dendro vision, but is still non-playable.

Jeht Lore Information

Jeht and Jebrael

Jeht is a young Eremite and the daughter of Jebrael and the late Ufairah. Her appearance and skillset are very similar to the Eremite - Desert Clearwater. She is hired by Tirzad prior to the Golden Slumber series to investigate the ruins of the Sumeru Desert.

Ufairah's Daughter

Jeht's father, Jebrael, was a member of an Eremite group called Thutmose and met Ufairah, Jeht's mother. Jebrael wanted a new life outside of the desert and tried to escape.

Unfortunately, while doing so, Ufairah was killed in action at the hands of Samail: another member of Thutmose.

Confronting Samail

During the investigation of the ruins, Jeht, along with the Traveler, Jebrael, and Tirzad, ran into Samail: the one who took Jeht's mother away from her. Samail teamed up with the Fatui to search for the secret of Al-Ahmar.

Jebrael managed to trick Samail by letting him sit at the throne of Al-Ahmar in Khaj-Nisut and recite a prayer, sending him into a state of Golden Slumber.

Dreams Beneath the Searing Sand Quest

Jebrael's Sacrifice

Unfortunately for Jeht and the others, Samail sitting in the throne, also managed to gain the power of Al-Ahmar and has decided to use it to take the group along with him in the Golden Slumber. As the group decides to escape Khaj-Nisut, they realized the entrance is blocked off.

Jebrael, knowing that the only way for the others to escape is to defeat Samail in the Golden Slumber, enters the state and confronts Samail in it to save Jeht at the cost of his life.

Joined the Tanit Tribe

Following the events of The Golden Slumber, preluding the Dirge of Bilqis, Jeht joined the Tanit Tribe. The Tanit Tribe is a group her father Jebrael also joined, until an incident made him leave the tribe. She was welcomed by the Matriarch Babel, and was said to be the apple of her eye.

The Search for the Eternal Oasis

During The Dirge of Bilqis, Jeht invited the Traveler to search for the Eternal Oasis alongside Azariq. She planned bringing Jebrael's axe and her mother's belongings to the oasis and let her parents rest in peace.

Framed by Babel

It was later on unveiled that Babel framed Jeht as a traitor and turned the Tanit Tribe against her. Babel also tried to drag the Traveler along her schemes, only to be defeated at the end by Jeht and the Traveler.

During this time, Jeht has also renounced her motherly bond with Babel and taken the name, Jeht Ufairah Hindi, as homage to her late mother.
