Who is Azariq?

One of the Tanit

Azariq is born of the Tanit, a tribe of Eremites who hail from the depths of the Deshret Desert, once called as the City of Gurabad. He shares a splitting image of an Eremite Stone Enchanter and also has the same combat patterns as it.

Azariq was once one of the most trusted subordinates of the tribe's matriarch, Babel, until he connived against the tribe with the help of the Fatui.

Killed by Jeht

Although the bond between Jeht and Azariq started off as being more than that of mere kinsmen, it eventually ended in a ruse which led to Azariq's death.

Jeht, being the justicar of the Matriarch, was obligated to punish Azariq because of his act of betrayal. Although her slaying of him was swept under the rug as per Liloupar's suggestion, this act of absolute justice shows the authority of the tribe's matriarch, and why Azariq coveted it so much.

Planned to Make Jeht His Wife

As part of his scheme to usurp the position of Babel, Azariq plans to wed Jeht and rule the Tanit Tribe with her. This aside, Jeht has her own share of identity crisis, which eluded her further away from the idea of settling in the tribe, despite being part Tanit.
