Member of the Five Yakshas

Genshin Impact - Five Yakshas

Bonanus is a member of the legendary Five Yaksha, who were tasked by Rex Lapis to protect Liyue and its people from monsters coming Khaenri'ah after the Archon War.

Although the Five Yakshas know only of battle and slaughter, they treat each other like family. Even calling each other brother and sister.

Killed Menogias

Genshin Impact - Bonanus Kills Menogias

Yakshas incur Karmic Debt from all their encounters against the demons and monsters, which eventually kill them or drive them insane.

During one of Bosacius' flashbacks, it is shown that Bonanus killed fellow yaksha Menogias. It is not confirmed whether Bonanus killed Menogias because he succumbed to his Karmic Debt or if Bonanus succumbed to her Karmic Debt and killed Menogias because of it.
