The Sage of Stolen Flame

Kukulkan is the Sage of Stolen Flame. He used to be an ally of Xbalanque and has planned to activate the Huitzilopochtli after years of waiting for humanity to overcome the Abyss.

Guided the Traveler and Their Saurian Throughout Natlan

In the An Omen of Annihilation and the Final Entreaty World Quest, Kukulkan reveals that he was the one who guided the Traveler and their Saurian throughout Natlan.

Using Phlogiston manipulation and Iridescent Inscriptions, Kukulkan disguised himself as Manqu and Bona to help them obtain the Golden Entreaties and bring them back to the Huitzilopochtli.

Kukulkan hid a Golden Entreaty in Tonatiuh through Och-Kan. Tonatiuh was made to search for light in the pitch-dark outer realms. Once just a cable to reach the skies, it was later modified by Och-Kan as the floating city it is today.

Thanks to the Huitzilopochtli's control hub being one of Xiuhcoatl's eyes, it became his greatest weakness. This allowed Xbalanque to take the Pyro Dragon Sovereign down with him.

Planned to Turn Natlan Into Pure Phlogiston

Once activated, the Huitzilopochtli will purge Natlan of Abyssal Corruption but doing so will turn all of its lifeforms into pure Phlogiston. He gives this choice to the Chosen of Dragons, the Traveler's Saurian.

Kukulkan is Xiuhcoatl's Brother

At the end of the An Omen of Annihilation and the Final Entreaty World Quest, it is revealed that Kukulkan is Xiuhcoatl's brother. After the Chosen of Dragons canceled the activation of the Huitzilopochtli, Kukulkan disappears.
