Elynas is the progenitor of the Melusines, and is the namesake of the mountainous area in the Beryl Region of Fontaine in Genshin Impact 4.0. See their story, and all known info about Elynas here!

Elynas Lore and Story
Progenitor of the Melusines
During the Blue Longing of Heart and Moon quest, Elynas mentioned that they consider Melusines their children, as they emerged from Elynas' wounds during an explosion in the past—which we believe to be the Cataclysm!
Helped Jakob Ingold and “Someone Else”
Elynas also mentioned helping two people; Jakob Ingold, and someone whose identity is likely Rene, whom we first encountered from Nasejuna's notes during the Khvarena of Good and Evil questline.
From the Enigmatic Pages, the main reason why Jakob and Rene are collecting Elynas' blood is for Jakob to ingest them, with the hopes of becoming a Neohuman—proven to be successful given that Jakob became an Iniquitous Baptist.
Enigmatic Page Locations in Fontaine
Likely Rhinedottir's Creation
Rhinedottir, otherwise known as Gold, is mother to Albedo, and sister to the mages of Hexenzirkel, is most likely the creator of Elynas. As mentioned in the Enigmatic Page (V), Elynas' blood held the same adversive properties as Durin's.
Being a creation of Gold, it makes sense for Elynas and Durin to the share the same blood that course within them, and for that same blood to be harmful against humans. This also implies Elynas is a product of Art of Khemia.
Remains Are Still Active in Elynas
Although Elynas has long perished, his body is still in constant operation, protecting Melusines and being reactive to external factors. According to Elynas, the Breacher Primus enemies are his cells that act purely on instinct, whose purpose is to protect Melusines!
The alpine areas of Beryl Region still house some of the remains of Elynas. From the nearby Statue of Seven in the same region, Elynas' ribcage can be seen protruding from the ground!
