Deploy Two Squads

Deploy Ruin Guard x1 and Hilichurl Grenadiers x1 on both upper left corner and upper right corner of the field. Once the Ruin Guards gain the attention of the Large Hydro Slimes, eliminate them by deploying your remaining Hilichurl Grenadiers in front.

Let The Ruin Guards Soak Up Damage

Since there are two Lawachurls in the way, you need to send a Ruin Guard along with all your Cryo Specters in order to take out the first Lawachurl.

As the Lawachurl is about to die, send out your Electro Samachurl, then your other Ruin Guard to soak up damage from the Treasure Hoarders and subsequently the Lawachurl.

Send Hilichurls After The First Barrier Break

At the start of the fight, spawn both of your Eroding Avatars on opposite ends, then spawn one group of Electro Cicins near the Avatar of Lava that is not being targeted. This should take care of the initial Whopperflower and barriers.

Afterwards, when the Avatars are about to reach the second layer of barriers, spawn all your units as they will charge ahead and break through the barriers, taking out all enemies and buildings inside.

Eliminate the Large Hydro Slimes First

To eliminate the Large Hydro Slimes, deploy Cryo Specters at the upper left side of the field to avoid the Shackling Mines. Do not deploy Cryo Specters at the right side of the field because they will be destroyed by the Suppression Specialist Mek - Ousia.

While the Cryo Specters eliminate the Large Hydro Slimes, send out Hilichurl Fighters to defeat the two Suppression Specialist Mek - Ousia units. Deploy the Hilichurl Fighters at the front to ensure that they will target Suppression Specialist Mek - Ousia units and not the obstacles.

Deploy Units in a Timely Manner

Deploy a Hilichurl Grenadier first in order to destroy the obstacles surrounding the Treasure Hoarders - Pyro Potioneer units. After destroying the obstacles, send out a Hydro Mimic Finch to defeat the Treasure Hoarders - Pyro Potioneer units.

If you send out a Hydro Mimic Finch before clearing the obstacles, it will try to avoid the obstacles and get destroyed by the Anti-Personnel Mine.

Do Not Forget the Forward Base at the Corner

Deploy a Hilichurl Grenadier at the left corner of the field to destroy the Forward Base. If you send out the Hilichurl Grenadier after clearing all obstacles, it will help your remaining units destroy the other installations.

Focus On One Side First

Deploy a Ruin Guard on either the right side or left side of the field. Once the enemies on that side start attacking the Ruin Guard, deploy Hilichurl Fighters and Electro Samachurls.

After defeating the enemies at one side, deploy a Ruin Guard at the other side of the field. When that Ruin Guard also starts absorbing the attacks, deploy Hilichurl Fighters and Electro Samachurls.

Attack From Three Sides

Deploy Electro Samachurls near the Frostarm Lawachurls on each side. Let the Electro Samachurls defeat all the enemies at the back.

At the front, deploy a Ruin Guard to absorb all the attacks from the three Treasure Hoarder - Pyro Potioneers. Also send out the Hilichurl Grenadiers to destroy all obstacles and enemies.

Defeat the Suppression Specialist Mek First

Deploy the Eroding Avatar of Lava and Hilichurl Fighters near the Cryo Whopperflower at the left side of the field. The Eroding Avatar of Lava will destroy the obstacles and pave the way for the Hilichurl Fighters to defeat the Suppression Specialist Mek.

Only the Suppression Specialist Mek can attack flying units. After the Suppression Specialist Mek goes down, send out your Electro Cicins and Cryo Specters to eliminate the rest of the enemies.

Deploy Hydro Mimic Finch Units Wisely

At the top part of the field, deploy a Hydro Mimic Finch at both sides to eliminate the Treasure Hoarder - Pyro Potioneer units.

At the bottom part of the field, deploy either Electro Samachurls or Electro Cicins to destroy the Forward Bases at each side. Send out a Ruin Guard to trip the Anti-Personnel Mine before deploying a Hydro Mimic Finch to defeat the remaining enemies.

Deploy Hilichurl Grenadiers First

Deploy Hilichurl Grenadiers near the Frostarm Lawachurl at the upper part of the field and let them clear the way to the Suppression Specialist Mek at that side. Once the Hilichurl Grenadiers destroyed enough obstacles, send out a Hydro Mimic Finch to defeat the Suppression Specialist Mek and to draw the attacks of the Large Hydro Slime.

After defeating the Suppression Specialist Mek at the left side of the field, send out a Cryo Specter unit to eliminate the Frostarm Lawachurl and the Large Hydro Slime. Deploy the rest of your units as you see fit.

Confrontation Scenario Guide

Best Defensive Lineups

Sample Defense Lineups
Genshin - Defensive Lineup
Sample Lineup 1
Genshin Impact - Confrontation Scenario Defensive Line-up 2.png
Sample Lineup 2

The main objective of your Defensive Lineup is to be harder to defeat, preferably by having your own resources last longer than your opponent's units.

Long-ranged units such as Suppression Specialist Meks and Hydro Slimes are good choices for defensive units, specially partnered with the Pyro Potioneer and Cryo Whopperflowers that can attack smaller melee units.

Use Smaller Buildings as Bait

A good general defense is to have 2 - 3 buildings somewhere on the sides as bait, and aside from guards for the buildings, round out your units all in the center. This way, your main units are ready to eat up the assault from the enemy.

Use Elemental Reactions to Your Advantage

You can also use elemental reactions to fend off the offensive lineup of your opponents. Placing a Large Hydro Slime next to Frostarm Lawachurls or Cryo Whopperflowers can let you Freeze attacking units, which will make them more vulnerable to attacks.

Best Offensive Lineups

Sample Lineup 1
Sample Lineup 2

The best Offensive Lineups are those that contain both Flying and Ranged units. The Hilichurl Grenadier, in particular, is great at attacking from an undetected distance and destroying obstacles.
