During Skirk's appearance, she first refers to her master Surtalogi as "The Foul". In reference to Childe's Foul Legacy Boss Fight appearance, it is possible that this form of his may be correlated to him.

Surtalogi is also one of the named Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah, revealed by Dainsleif in the Bedtime Story Archon Quest. Surtalogi, along with Rhinedottir and Vedrfolnir, are the only named Sinners who have explicit ties with the Abyss itself.

In the Chapter 5 Act 6 Archon Quest, Dainsleif revealed that he and Surtalogi used to study under the same sword master. This master, Haden, was responsible for Surtalogi losing limbs due to unjust punishments.

Skirk's voice lline about Dainsleif described him and Surtalogi as rivals, and former best friends.
