Who is Caribert?

Illegitimate Son of Eide

Caribert is the illegitimate son of Eide to a woman from Mondstadt. This resulted to him being of mixed-blood, which eventually led to his curse of immortality as a Hilichurl. Caribert wears his mother's scarf, until he removed it when he ran away during the Portended Fate Quest.

Eide also eventually turned out to be Chlothar Alberich, the founder of the Abyss Order. This also makes Caribert a distant blood relative of Kaeya Alberich of the Knights of Favonius.

The Loom of Fate

According to Eide, Caribert became the Loom of Fate in account of him being able to weave his own fate, a few while after Caribert removed his mask.

During the Bedtime Story Archon Quest, it was revealed that the Loom of Fate had been completed, and that Caribert can use a portion of it to implant memories to anyone. In its final form, the Loom of Fate can weave Ley Lines, however Caribert himself has no idea what the plans are of the Abyss Twin about it.
