When players first meet Atossa, they will find that she is one of the more interested people in locating the missing villager during the Cold Case Commission quest, thanking the Traveler for continuing to search for him.

It is later revealed that the person she was searching for was Caribert, a Khaenri'ahn that implanted his memories into the people of Vimara Village.

When assisting the Traveler with the investigation, she reveals more personal details about her relationship with Caribert, which helps the Traveler piece together what really happened.

It is later revealed in the World-Order Narration quest that the memories that you are skimming through are Atossa's memories, which is why Caribert was able to have a more prominent presence.

Atossa also states that she is an adopted resident of Vimara Village from a young age, with the Forest Rangers finding her as a child and letting her live among the people of the village.
