Bosacius Story and Lore

Leader of the Five Yakshas

Bosacius is the leader of the legendary Five Yakshas, who were tasked by Rex Lapis to protect Liyue from the monsters that came from Khaenri'ah after the Archon War. He is also known as the Yaksha who uses Electro.

Although the Five Yakshas's purposes are for war and slaughter, they treat each other like family. Even calling each other brother or sister.

Went Mad From Karmic Debt

Yakshas incur Karmic Debt from all their encounters against the demons and monsters, which eventually kill them or drive them insane. Bosacius succumbed to his Karmic Debt after years of fighting and growing weary of the bloodshed and suffering.

He eventually forgets his own name and has thought to have died by Xiao, who at that time was the only remaining survivor of the Five Yakshas.

Fought at the Chasm 500 Years Ago

Monsters from Khaenri'ah attempted to invade Liyue through the Chasm where the Millelith fought them off. Unaware of his identity, Bosacius is drawn into the battlefield and bloodshed. He fought with the Millelith and was known as the Nameless Yaksha.

Trapped in the Chasm with Boyang

Boyang was a thaumaturge who joined the Millelith during the battle in the Chasm. They came up with a plan to use the Fantastic Compass, a catalyst able to manipulate time and space to trap the invading monsters in the Chasm. In order to activate it, a human and a yaksha will have to work together.

Boyang and Bosacius volunteered for the task, successfully trapping the monsters and themselves in the Chasm. They spent the rest of the time together wandering the chaotic space. Before perishing, Bosacius finally remembers who he is, his family, his duty, and his own name.
