Who is Paimon?

Best Travel Companion Ever!

Traveler's journey finding their Twin would not be as enjoyable without their blunt, food-savvy, and loudmouthed partner that is Paimon.

Fished Out by Traveler at the Start of the Game

Traveler fished Paimon out of the lake during the prelude of the game, and this adorable guide has never left Traveler's side since. She mentioned that Traveler saved her life.

She usually serves as the spokesperson in most in-game dialogues. She has an extremely chatty personality, and she's also known to love food, Mora, and treasure above anything else.

Also Known as Emergency Food

When meeting Amber for the first time in the game, she asks the Traveler what or who Paimon was. The Traveler is given the option to call Paimon Emergency Food, which has since become a recurring joke throughout the story.

Paimon's Appearance

Paimon has a white hair topped with a floating crown, and a cape laden with constellations. She has patterns all over her, reminscent of the artifacts seen from the Heavenly Principles.

This strikingly unique appearance makes it probable that the Old World and Paimon are connected.

What are the Heavenly Principles

The Byakuyakoku Collection

This collection talks about the creation of the world, and ultimately mentions The Primordial One, Phanes who is described to have a crown and wings, suggesting Phanes could fly.

Paimon is the only character in-game who fits this description, presently. While the idea of Paimon being Phanes is a bit too far-fetched, one of the shades Phanes made, Istaroth, is the God of Time.

Having to traverse across different time dimensions is implied to be possible. As of now, however, one could only speculate. You can get the The Byakuyakoku Collection from the Collections of Dragons and Snakes Quest.

Although Paimon doesn't have a special furnishing of her own, there's an event-exclusive furnishing, "A Portrait of Paimon, the Greatest Companion", that features her portrait.
