Fujin Lore and Story

The Carp Adeptus

Fujin is the Carp Adeptus, a local illuminated beast from Chenyu Vale. Although only a few of the residents from the Vale are familiar with the legends that surround the Carp Adeptus, Fujin remains loyal and faithful to the region and its citizens.

Wants to Save Chenyu Vale

As soon as we step on the soils of Chenyu Vale thru the Upper Vale Waypoint, Fujin teleports us to Carp's Rest, a pocket dimension where she requested us to resolve the disharmony of soil and water.

Threw the Last Votive Rainjade

The legends surrounding the Jademouth were confirmed to be true, and Fujin was the one who threw the last remaining piece of Votive Rainjade to stop the flooding of Bishui River that would've otherwise engulfed Chenyu Vale.

Alongside her most-trusted friends, Lingyuan and Herblord, the three defected against their former master to save the citizens of Chenyu Vale, and ultimately, of Liyue.

Friend of the Herblord and Lingyuan

As the story unfolds during the Chenyu's Blessings of Sunken Jade, it was eventually revealed that the cause of the problem in Chenyu Vale was none other than Lingyuan, one of Fujin's closest Adeptal companions!

However, the two remain friends at the end of the quest, as it was hinted that Lingyuan had only wanted to restore Chenyu Vale to see Fujin smile once more, while Herblord, on the other hand, perished some time after the Archon War.

“Perished” Alongside Humans

Fujin indeed, perished, but not the same way as being dead, like the White Snake. Fujin only lost a huge chunk of her powers, as well as her memories, hence we first encountered her in Carp's Rest, where she can preserve her being.

She only managed to regain a portion of her power and memories thru our help, specifically thru the Golden Carp that we've collected all throughout the quest!
