First of the Harbingers

Capitano is ranked first of the 11 Fatui Harbingers in Gehnshin Impact, and his codename is "The Captain". There hasn't been much mention of him outside and in-game, so the teaser added a bit of light on what kind of person he is.

When talking to Viktor in the Catherdral during the Tales of Winter commission, he mentions that he would prefer to work under Capitano if given the chance. This could mean Capitano is the most reasonable out of all the Harbingers. What would this mean about the others? Who's to say?

Encounter with Grand Master Varka

It was revealed in the Version 3.1 Of Ballads and Brews event that Mondstadt's Grand Master Varka had an encounter with Capitano. Varka explained via letter that Capitano wasn't hostile towards them and suspects that its because they have the same agenda.

Knights Talk About the Encounter

After the cutscene where Mika read the letter, you can overhear a couple of Knights talking near Jean's office. They were relieved that nothing came of it and that Varka may be stronger than The Captain enough to defeat at least ten of him.

At the very end of the Masquerade of the Guilty Archon Quest, Neuvillette mentions that the Captain is currently in the Nation of Pyro: Natlan.

Numerous sources both in official HoYoverse media and In-Game confirms that Capitano is currently in Natlan, the new region set to release in the Version 5.0 Update for Genshin Impact!

With this information in mind, it is likely that Capitano's status as a playable character will be revealed during Natlan's runtime spanning from Version 5.0 until Version 6.0.
