Rongzhao Story and Lore

Yelan's Ancestor

Rongzhao is a thaumaturge, Boyang's younger brother, and one of Yelan's ancestors.

According to Yelan, after the battle in the Chasm 500 years ago, Rongzhao went insane while Boyang was nowhere to be found.

Fought at the Chasm 500 Years Ago

Rongzhao and his brother Boyang, fought alongside the Millelith at the Chasm 500 years ago. They were tasked to hold off the invading monsters from Khaenri'ah.

During the battle they encounter the Nameless Yaksha who was drawn in by the bloodshed and helps out the Millelith. The Nameless Yaksha turns out to be Bosacius who has forgotten who he is after succumbing to his Karmic Debt.

Went Mad from Bosacius' Karmic Debt

Boyang and Bosacius work together to activate the Fantastic Compass in order to trap the invading monsters in the chasm, sacrificing themselves in the process. Rongzhao survives and is able to go back home to his family, but his time spent around Bosacius has caused the Karmic Debt to affect him, resulting in him going mad.
