Will Enter Testing Phase in April 2026
Deltarune Chapter 5 will enter the testing phase in April, as confirmed by Toby Fox. The developer took to BlueSky on March 18 to share the latest progress on the highly anticipated next installment.
According to Fox, professional testers are currently familiarizing themselves with the build in preparation for formal testing on April 1. He also noted that the Japanese Quality Assurance (QA) and translation process is projected to conclude by the end of April.
Aside from addressing bugs and localization issues, Fox stated that most of the Deltarune team has now moved on from Chapter 5. While this may suggest the next installment could arrive soon, he said that its testing period will last for an "indefinite amount of time."
Although Fox previously confirmed that progress for Chapter 5 is "excellent", the developer remains tight-lipped about its exact release date. Deltarune is expected to have seven chapters in total, and with Chapter 5 nearing completion, fans are now excited to experience the continuation of the hit indie title.
