| A knife that can be equipped to your Slinger. Can be coated with a range of substances. |
The Throwing Knife can be used to damage Monsters from a distance, or activate traps and terrain.
The Throwing Knife does not deal significant damage, but can be used to draw Monster attention, and most importantly, can be thrown while riding your Seikret.
Can be Used as Slinger Ammo
To use the Throwing Knife, it must first be equipped as a Slinger Ammo.
You can throw it an unlimited amount of times, making it very efficient, as it does not consume any materials.

While the Throwing Knife does very little damage on its own, it can be used to craft the Tranq Blade, which can then be used in conjunction with a Pitfall Trap or Shock Trap to capture Large Monsters.

Get Attention of Monsters
The Throwing Knife is also useful in drawing Monster attention, especially if the Monster has not targeted you yet.
This method is especially useful after setting up Traps, so that you can direct the Large Monster towards the direction of the traps.
Trigger Bombs From a Distance
The Throwing Knife can be used as a ranged trigger for Large Barrel Bombs and Mega Barrel Bombs so that you can safely detonate it from a distance.
Throw While Riding Seikret
Using the Throwing Knife requires you to sheathe your weapon first. Instead of simply running around on foot when you need to use the Throwing Knife, you can throw it while riding the Seikret, in order to move around freely.
Assign Throwing Knife as Radial Menu Shortcut
Aside from equipping the Throwing Knife from the inventory bar, players can assign it as one of their Radial Menu shortcuts to equip it outside or during battle quickly.
