Obtain From Daughters of Carabosse Quest
Great Hornfly can be obtained as a quest reward from the Daughters of Carabosse quest. This quest is a part of the Blossomdance Event, available from April 22 ET to May 6, 8PM ET.

Great Hornfly can be acquired from Material Retrieval with Plumpeach, who is unlocked for this function after the quest, Make Fluffy Dealings in Chapter 4.
Material Retrieval allows players to have an NPC automatically gather a set material, allowing for hands-free farming of that material. Rarely, NPCs will also gather rare items, such as the Great Hornfly for Plumpeach.

Great Hornfly can be acquired from Gawdygog and Musharpeye. However, note that trader inventory rotates daily in-game, so try rechecking at a later time or resting first if Great Hornfly doesn't show.
Farm Trade Materials Before Reseting Trades
If you want to obtain more Great Hornfly from trades, make sure to farm Fine Scarlet Amber, Ancient Wyvern Coins, and Bulky or Sparkly Treasure before resting in your tent. This allows you to already have the materials required for the trade, and simply trade for the item once it becomes available.
