The Mending Mantle can restore a small portion of the player's health slowly over 80 seconds. This can help players last longer against tougher monsters that require long, drawn-out fights.
Recover Health Even After Getting Attacked
Unlike potions, the Mending Mantle, once activated, allows players to recover health even after getting hit by an attack.

Use During Battle or When Monsters Run Off
The Mending Mantle is useful for providing extra recovery options outside of potions. When players need to heal, they can equip the mantle and stay away from their target, preferably on their Seikret, until they recoup their health.
Alternatively, a good time to use the Mending Mantle would be when the target runs off to a different part of the map.

Players can use the Mending Mantle in conjuction with the Peak Performance skill, as having the Mantle active increases the uptime of the skill's effects, resulting in increased damage throughout a fight
Utilize With Weapons and Attacks that Give Hyper Armor
Players can use the Mending Mantle with weapons and attacks that grant Hyper Armor. Doing so allows players to keep attacking the monster while being hit, increasing DPS and lessening the time it takes to defeat a monster.
Some attacks that give Hyper Armor include the Great Sword's Tackle and the Switch Axe's Full Release Slash.

Assign Mending Mantle as Radial Menu Shortcut
Aside from equipping the Mending Mantle from the inventory bar, players can assign it as one of their Radial Menu shortcuts to equip it outside or during battle quickly. Additionally, equipping the Mending Mantle this way allows them to equip it without sheathing their weapons.

The Mending Mantle is unlocked by hunting Xu Wu in the Full Circle mission in Chapter 3. It will become available at the Blacksmith after the hunt.
