| Black Eclipse I | 2 | Infects you with Frenzy when against large monsters. |
| Black Eclipse II | 4 | Infects you with Frenzy and raises attack when against large monsters. Attack power increases upon recovery. |
Black Eclipse automatically gives you the Frenzy status when fighting any large monster. This enables you to reliably proc skills like Antivirus and Coalescence even if you're not fighting Frenzied monsters.
Gives Frenzy Status in Combat
Black Eclipse gives you the Frenzy status when fighting large monsters. Although risky, it's one way to get a 15% boost to Affinity outside of hunts against Gore Magala and Frenzied Monsters.
Black Eclipse II adds a new effect, giving 10 raw attack when you get the Frenzy. 5 raw attack is given upon recovering from the status.

Antivirus makes it easier to overcome Frenzy and increases affinity when cured. This results in a high affinity boost when combined with Black Eclipse, along with a quicker access to the 5 raw attack boost given by Black Eclipse II once the Frenzy is cured.
