After doing this request from Hanamori the Guide, he will reward you the Origami Axe I (Design). This will let you forge the Origami Axe in Smithy.

Weaken it as you normally would, then trap it in a Pitfall Trap or Shock Trap and put it to sleep with Tranq Bombs or Ammo.
