Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero Story Plot

Not much about Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero’s narrative has been revealed yet, but we do know that major characters from the original PlayStation 2 game will be making a return. The two main protagonists, Marona and Ash, will be heading out on another adventure, this time island-hopping among pirates and ghost ships. A lonely phantom girl named Apricot will be accompanying them on their journeys as she searches for her father, alongside a whole new crew of phantoms to interact with.

Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero seems to be something of a strategy game where the main character can control various phantoms to combat her enemies. Said phantoms can be used to control other items and structures on the battlefield like cannons, fans, and even Marona herself for some powerful bonuses. Each Phantom has its own unique abilities and careful consideration of said abilities is likely the key to a sound strategy.

The official announcement trailer for Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero was revealed during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct and it goes over some of the game’s key narrative and gameplay elements. We are reintroduced to Marona and Ash and are shown some of their interactions on and off the battlefield. New characters like Apricot are also shown, followed by a montage of possible phantom-object combinations.
