From the Quest Counter, select the Event Quests Tab and select Melodic Monarch to accept this quest. You can do this by speaking to Alma, speaking to Lotta in the Grand Hub, or opening the Quest Counter from the Tent.

Rathalos is weakest to attacks to the Head, especially against the Dragon element. As a Flying Wyvern, you can temporarily take Rathalos out of the air by using Flash Pods or by breaking its wounds.

Completing The Melodic Monarch the first time will reward you with 3 gestures where you play a Fender guitar! The music that you'll play will be the same with every gesture and only your Hunter's actions and guitar mastery will be changed.
