Use the Long Sword/Heavy Bowgun Set

Best Weapon Set
Hope Cannon IV ▼Set B: Heavy Bowgun▼

The Long Sword/Heavy Bowgun Set is the best one to use for the Demon and Poison Ammo. At the start of the fight use a Demon Ammo on yourself and your teammate and shoot the Ajarakan with the Poison Ammo for additional damage.

The Rocksteady Mantle will help keep up the aggression to deal as much damage as possible while the Shock Trap can be used to stop the Ajarakan on its tracks when it glows red.

Use Akuma's Special Moves to Deal Damage

Action	How to Use
Assisted Combo: Akuma	• Select from the item bar, where you can continue pressing "X" up to three times • Press "△" or "◯" to chain other combos • Can also be chained to Chain Impact, Gou Hadoken, and Gou Shoryuken
Drive Impact: Oni Goroshi	• Select from the item bar • Can also be triggered using "L2" + "R1" during Assist Combo • Requires full Drive Gauge
Gou Hadoken	• Can be set from the inventory like a slinger ammo • Fired with "R2" • Can be used during Assist Combo
Gou Shoryuken	• Select from gestures

Wether you're playing solo or with another player, the Hope weapons you get are not strong enough to deal enough damage to clear this arena quest with an A rank. The best chance you'll get to get an A rank is to use the special moves that comes with the Akuma Full Armor Set.

Use the Radial Menu

The best moves to add to the Radial Menu are the Gou Shoryukenand Drive Impact: Oni Goroshi! Doing so will make these moves very accessible, as you don't have to manually scroll through you all of your items.

Use Drive Impact on Wounds

The key to getting an A rank is to utilize the usage of the Raging Demon super on any wounded parts from the Ajarakan. Having a full Drive Gauge allows you to use the Drive Impact, which when it hits an enemy wound, will activate the Raging Demon super for massive damage.

How to Unlock True Strength

Complete the Demonic Strength Arena Quest

Grand Hub Quest Counter

True Strength is the harder version of the Demonic Strength Arena Quest which pits you with a stronger Ajarakan than the first one. You'll unlock this quest by completing the Demonic Strength quest.

Both the True Strength and Demonic Strength quests are unlocked through the Ultimate Strength side mission.
