The Heavy Explosion Pod can be obtained by breaking certain monster parts. Monsters can drop Battle Remains. Picking this up will give you the Heavy Explosion Pod, which allows you to make it flinch while dealing Damage using your Slinger.
Better Odds of Dropping On Tempered Monsters
You can get a high chance of getting a Heavy Explosion Pod by breaking the scars that appear on Tempered Monsters like Quematrice and Rathian. These scars have other benefits for more than just your Slinger, so try to focus on these during battle.
How to Use Heavy Explosion Pod
Deals Damage and Flinches Monsters
The Heavy Explosion Pod can inflict Blast damage and make it flinch when it hits a monster. Since there is a chance to make it flinch, use it when the monster is fleeing or when it is using a difficult to avoid powerful attack.
