Okay, here is what you do. You reset until fullmoon (I don't know if that is required but I am superstitious, so I did it) then you travel to wyveria, best do it at camp 6 southeast. It is save and you just follow the little river until you reach the final small peninsula with two trees on it Then, you wait until late night, roughly 3-5 minute before dawn, SAVE the game, then start looking at the BIG tree.until dawn. If it didn't work, reset to main screen without saving. Repeat.
To be clear. You want to start looking for it on the day on the full moon. You can check its a full moon via the low rank balahara quest with the moon pollen flowers. Currently you can just exit the game and restart steam/ps5 and load into a private lobby to get a full moon. That might change on March 10, 2025
I strongly suspect that the lunar cycle is involved in catching this thing. A full moon. Caught it twice with no resets on two separate full moons. It only spawns on 1 singular tree. It spawned a little after late night both times I think.
