All Mystery Orbs obtained after a quest is automatically appraised in the Appraisal Box, after you take your main rewards.

During appraisal, any Mystery Orb - Armor and Mystery Orb - Sword you've acquired will become a random Armor Decoration and Weapon Decoration, respectively, before going into your inventory.
