How to Get Sinister Cloth
Acquire From Murtabak Material Retrieval

Sinister Cloth can be acquired from Material Retrieval with Murtabak, who becomes available for this function upon completing the Beware the Gypceros quest in Chapter 4.
Material Retrieval allows players to have NPCs gather a chosen item, which can be collected from Nata after a while. During retrieval, there is a chance for special items to be collected, such as the Sinister Cloth.

Sinister Cloth can also be acquired by trading with Gawdygog or Kilama. However, note that trader inventory rotates daily in-game, so try rechecking at a later time or resting first if the item you're looking for doesn't show.

You Need 50 Ancient Wyvern Coins for the Complete Armor Set
You need to trade with Gawdygog 10 Ancient Wyvern Coins to obtain one Sinister Cloth for a total of 50 coins if you want to complete the Death Stench α armor set through strictly trading for the cloth.
Keep in mind that there is a Trade Limit when exchanging with traders, so you will have to return to Gawdygog once the stock refreshes to trade for Sinister Cloths again.
