You will be able to farm for Amber Copal as soon as you get access to the Master Rank map of Citadel.

You can obtain this item from Stump Sap gathering nodes around the map. You can use your Palamute when you go on expeditions to farm certain items as you can use their Sniff 'em Out! ability to help you look for farming nodes!

Amber Copal Farming Route Steps

MH RIse Sunbreak - Stump Sap Route Step 1
Head to Area 1 and climb up the hill on the left to reach the first node.

Use your Wirebug to go to the next node which can be found north of the first Stump Sap.

Use your Wirebug once more to cross to the adjacent hill to locate the next Stump Sap.

Head east of the same hill to locate the next gathering node.

Use your Wirebug and head east to locate the waterfall. Enter the cave at the left and follow the path to find another Stump Sap.

Go out of the cave and cross the wooden bridge to find the next Stump Sap.

Head to Area 13 and locate the Stump Sap near the swamp.

The next gathering node is located at the ledge directly in front of the Stump Sap at the swamp. Use your Wirebug to scale the ledge.

To locate the last gathering node, head inside tree stump in Area 13.
