Upon downloading Update 2.0 and unlocking the Hunter Rank cap at HR 8, Kagero the Merchant will give you a new Request, Kagero's Trial, to capture a High Rank Magnamalo.
Completing this Request will grant the player the ability to craft the Ninja Sword I and Hi Ninja Sword.

To easily do this request from Kagero, we suggest taking the quest ★7 Quest, Clad in Hellfire. Since you need to capture a Magnamalo, don't forget to bring Traps and Tranq Bombs!

For any build incorporating the Ninja Sword, the Hi Ninja Sword's 100% Affinity is without a doubt its primary draw. With a guaranteed bonus of 25% to all its attacks because of affinity, the Hi Ninja Sword has an effective raw damage stat of 250.
To know more about Affinity, check out our guide here:
As both Ninja Sword I and Hi Ninja Sword max out at Green Sharpness, the Handicraft Skill, which will bring it up to Blue Sharpness, is key for breaking through hard monster parts which it would otherwise bounce off of.
Sharpness Guide: How Does Sharpness Work?
You can opt to just use the armor skill Mind's Eye to mitigate being bounced off of monster parts.
However, Green Sharpness only has a x1.05 damage multiplier compared to x1.20 damage multiplier of Blue Sharpness. This huge discrepancy will affect your overall performance during your hunt.
To prevent its Blue Sharpness from fading, players can use the Master's Touch Armor Skill to maintain sharpness on critical hits. As the Hi Ninja Sword will always yield a critical hit, it can utilize this skill with maximum efficiency.

No hadnicraft is not "the key" you get 2 points into minds eye and go for Blugeon, in the long run it alows you to go way harder into damage skills than bother with handicraft and p.polish/razorsharp that would be otherwise mandatory..
