Aeonian Coal can be obtained from Scorched Ore, which looks visually similar to Mining Outcrops. Be sure to see if it smolders with a red hot glow and if it looks charred. That's a Scorched Ore! This item is exclusive to Master Rank and can be found in the Lava Caverns. Try to equip Geologist Lv. 2 and look out for an Upsurge of Local Items to get more items while gathering.

| 1 |  The first Scorched Ore can be easily found in Area 5. |

| 2 |  The next Scorched Ore is right at the entrance to the lower level or Area 13. It should be on the right of the tunnel. |
| 3 |  After leaving the tunnel, go left and climb the ledge to find the next gathering node. |
| 4 |  Follow the path until you find an exit to the right. Leave and climb one of the pillars to reach the next node. |
| 5 |  Head straight to the next Scorched Ore. This should be fairly easy to find. |
| 6 | Enter the nearby opening and make your way to the hole in the wall above. Turn right at the exit to find the next Scorched Ore. |
| 7 |  Use your Wirebugs to reach for the next node above. From here, you can gather from the many Mining Outcrops in this area or continue to the next point. |
| 8 |  Fast travel to Sub-camp 1. The next node should be near the tent. |
| 9 |  Slide down until you find the next Scorched Ore in the area. |
| 10 |  Move halfway back to the Sub-camp then use the Great Wirebug that can take you to Area 7. Go west after landing to find the final Scorched Ore nearby. |
