You don't need to kill a Gargwa to get a Gold Gargwa Egg, you can scare them instead. The best method of scaring a Gargwa is by throwing a Kunai at it so it lays an egg in panic.

The circled areas are locations where Gargwas can be found. They can easily be found staying in these areas, but they run away when Large Monsters approach the area. So if none can be found, chances are a Large Monster passed through that area recently. Be patient and wait for them to reappear in these areas!
Normally, eggs break after the hunter carrying it falls from a high place... normally that is! Using a wirebug before you land cushions your fall and prevents your egg from breaking.

Delivering Gold Gargwa Eggs can net you 450 Zenny and Kamura Points after a quest. But if you're grinding for Zenny and Kamura Points, delivering transport items is definitely not the way to go as it takes too long.
The “An Egg-cellent Idea” quest requires you to deliver Gargwa Eggs to unlock the Egg Hammer weapon tree. The request specifically asks for normal Gargwa Eggs so Gold Gargwa eggs will not count towards the delivered egg count.
