Hello! i just wanna point out that im a little confused with the last update build, critical eye lvl6 doesnt add up with what is shown on the build, if you can clarify why, it'll be good to know <3
Hi Anon! Thanks for pointing this out; this was our mistake! We've now fixed it on this page as well as in our Master Rank Long Sword Builds page, and it should reflect on those pages soon enough.
From your latest Sunbreak MR build Lucent Raw Monster, there is only Lv 2. wirebug whisperer. How to you calculate to Lv 3 ?

Hi Anon! Phantom Mirage has more decoration slots and +20 more Attack than the Kamura's Inheritance. Next, Inheritance's affinity is just 40%; you can get that 100% with Phantom Mirage through Weakness Exploit 3 & Crit. Element 3. Also, both Inheritance and Phantom Mirage have around the same white sharpness at Handicraft 3. TLDR: Phantom Mirage grants easier customizability through its slots and +20 Attack, which is useful for Soaring Kick.
Curious why none of your Longsword builds use Kamura's Inheritance? With its Attack Boost Rampage Skill it sits at 200 attack, 15 fire and 40% affinity with blue sharpness level before any armor bonuses. It's a pretty nasty Longsword.
In the post 2.0 affinity build, why is Master’s Touch used instead of more Attack Boost? Three two slots seem like an heavy price just to avoid having to sharpen the sword? Is there something I’m missing? Thanks!
In the 2.0 Longsword Raw Build, there is no Weakness exploit in the armor itself. It only reaches level 2 by the end with 2 WEX decos
Handicraft Lv. 3 is there for the job
the site keeps saying that the mirage finsword has a whitesharpness, am i being stupid or is it false information?
On the Post Game Build why talisman with lv2 slot??? hidden saber + rathalos braces + anja coil = 3 lv2 slots for getting quick sheath
You’re probably right, but in the long run deepest night is LS to aim for.
On the Post Game Build the gear shown has 7x1 and 2x2 slots...
I recently did the math for myself and figured out that the kulu ya ku longsword II is actually better than the hidden saber. The kulu ya ku II longsword has 130 power and 15% affinity compared to the hidden saber's 120/30%, and managed to have a slightly higher average damage , and the difference only becomes bigger when affinity goes up. Even with maximum crit boost, it's still beaten by about 3%
Long sword build I come up with the following features: 95% affinity could go up to 101 % with rampage skill. - attack boost lvl 7 - critical eye lvl 7 - defense boost lvl 7 - critical boost lvl 1 - weakness exploit lvl 1 Set: - deepest night - Barroth helm s - Remobra suit s - Rathalos braces s - Anjanath coil s - Ingot greaves s - fatal tempest talisman (weakness exploit) - decorations ( plug the missing critical eye attack boost and defense boost to reach lvl 7)
