You can use your Palamute when you go on expeditions to farm certain items as you can use their Sniff 'em Out! ability to help you look for farming nodes!

You will be able to farm for Mysterious Coin as soon as you get access to the High Rank map of the Frost Islands. You'll also find them in Master Rank.
You can obtain this item from Money Pouch gathering nodes around the map. Try to equip Geologist Lv. 2 and look out for an Upsurge of Local Items to gather more account items.
| 1 |  Fast travel to Sub-camp 2. From here, go east until you see a shack by the shipwreck. Enter the shack for the first Money Pouch. |

| 2 |  Exit the shack and check the roof. The second Money Pouch should be there. |
| 3 |  Make your way to the easternmost part of the map. You'll find the next gathering node there. |
| 4 |  Head south and climb up the platforms for the next node. This should be above a nearby Frigid Berry node. |
| 5 |  From here, move to the structure in the middle of Area 7. You can use your Wirebugs from the nearby cliffs or climb up from the ground to reach it. The final Money Pouch can be found here. |
