How to Unlock Cold Case Commission
Complete the Prerequisite Quest
Unlock Cold Case Commission by completing Chapter 4 Act 5 of the Archon Quests, Masquerade of the Guilty.
Chapter 4 Act 5 Archon Quest Guide
Go to Sumeru City
Cold Case Commission is located in Sumeru City, in the nation of Sumeru.
Cold Case Commission Walkthrough
Go to the Sumeru Adventurers' Guild and talk to Katheryne
To start the quest, go to Sumeru City and talk to Katheryne at the Adventurers' Guild. She will tell you about a commission for a missing person.
Go to Vimara Village
Teleport to Vimara Village south of Sumeru City to begin your investigation!
Talk to Bahram
Talk to the merchant NPC Bahram, who's located near the entrance of Vimara Village by the water.
Talk to Amadhiah
After talking to Bahram, head across the river to the village chief's house on the upper level. Talk to Amadhiah, who will be standing in front of the house.
Go to the place indicated by Atossa
Paimon will pull you aside to discuss the case, and a woman named Atossa will approach to tell you about a tree north of the village.
Go to the place indicated by Atossa north of the village, past the large hill and by a tree.
Defeat the Abyss Order monsters
Defeat the Pyro Abyss Mage that appeared in the area! Afterwards, you have to defeat another Pyro Abyss Mage and two Cryo Abyss Mages will appear as well.
Talk to Atossa
After the fight, talk to Atossa again and head back to the village together. You will run into Dainsleif and have more conversations until this sub-quest concludes.
