Invisible Barrier unlocks after you finish the Dual Evidence sub-quest of Old Notes and New Friends.
Dual Evidence World Quest Guide
Go to Aaru Village after completing the Dual Evidence sub-quest. Talk for Soheil, located slightly to the south of Aaru Village, to start it along with the Soleil's Wish, Hidden Mercenaries and Desert's Remembrance world quests.
Talk to Soheil in Aaru Village and let him examine the Stone Slate. He will then tell you about the Transparent Ruins and their locations and give you his old notes.
You have to search the treasure chest inside the four Transparent Ruins in Hypostyle Desert around The Mausoleum of King Deshret, which is found on the western part of the Sumeru Desert, to complete this obejctive.

Transparent Ruins #1 | |
---|---|
1 | Go to the quest marker, north of The Mausoleum of King Deshret, to get to the Transparent Ruin. |
2 | Climb up the top floor and look for a mechanism in the middle. It will unlock a door on the left Keystone Replicator. |
3 | Head inside the room, loot the chest, and get the Forged Primal Light. |
4 | Bring the Forged Primal Light to one of the Keystone Replicator. The one on the left will spawn a Verity Cell and the other one an Everlight Cell. |
5 | You can skip the Keystone Replicator with the Verity Cell and unlock the Everlight Cell immediately. |
6 | Rotate the Everlight Cell and it will unlock the door leading to the chest containing the Transparent Ruin Record (III) |
Transparent Ruins #2 | |
---|---|
1 | Go northeast of The Mausoleum of King Deshret to get to the next Transparent Ruin |
2 | Once there, defeat the Primal Construct guarding the mechanism to unlock the door. |
3 | Optional: Head inside, get the Forged Primal Light, and put it to the Keystone Replicator. It will summon a Verity cell that will help you reveal invisible walls. |
4 | Go right from the entrance and climb up. |
5 | Head left twice until you reach a room with a small hole on the corner and then head down. |
6 | Defeat the enemy below or you can proceed into the next room right away. |
7 | Open the chest there to get the Transparent Ruin Record (I). Unlock the door leading outside the ruin afterward |
Transparent Ruins #3 | |
---|---|
1 | Go to the quest marker, south of The Mausoleum of King Deshret, to get to the Transparent Ruin. |
2 | Enter the underside of the structure with an interactable rock pile inside, then go right. |
3 | Get the Forged Primal Light inside and put it into the Keystone Replicator. |
4 | It will spawn an Everlight Cell on the replicator. Rotate it to fire off a beam to the next cell. |
5 | A door will open after that. Go inside and loot the chest to the get the Transparent Ruin Records (II). |
Transparent Ruins #4 | |
---|---|
1 | Head to the Transparent Ruins located southeast of The Mausoleum of King Deshret. |
2 | Enter the Transparent Ruins from the right side, through the small hole where you can spot a Forged Primal Light. |
3 | Optional: Place the Forged Primal Light into the Keystone Replicator to spawn a Verity Cell inside. It will reveal all the transparent walls in the area. |
4 | Go to the left side of the ruin and look for the loose sand pile. Use anemo to reveal a mechanism. |
5 | Unlock the door and loot an ordinary Exquisite Chest to clear the objective. |
Go back to Soheil to report to him about everything that happened and give him all the Transparent Ruin Records. The quest will end after that and you will receive your rewards.
This quest is a sub-quest to complete the Desert quest chain under Old Notes and New Friends. You'll need to clear all quests to unlock other ruins and exploration abilities in the Desert area of Sumeru!
