How to Unlock Pale Fire
The quest can be unlocked by approaching one of the Fravashi Trees found all over the new area Girdle of the Sands while Sorush is equipped.

Purify All Fravashi Trees

 On a cliff northeast of the Tunigi Hollow surrounded by spiky roots. |

 Found underground in the Tunigi Hollow tunnels and will need story progression of the quest Khvarena of Good and Evil. |

 On a cliff north of the Tunigi Hollow close to a Gray Crystal. |

 In an underground cavern with a giant spine-shaped Gray Crystal. |

 In a tunnel underground past some Hilichurl camps with its entrance beside the nearest Teleport Waypoint. |

 Found at the west side of the Asipattravana Swamp. |

 In a cave underground, northwest of the Asipattravana Swamp. Needs progression of As the Khvarena's Light Shows, a sub-quest of the Khvarena of Good and Evil . |
Purifying a Fravashi Tree will reward you with a Plume of Purifying Light that you can turn in to the Amrita Pool for various rewards.
