You can unlock Woodland Encounter by rescuing Rana from the Fungi enemies found west of Gandharva Ville in Sumeru. Doing so also triggers the long quest chain of Aranyaka, so better rest up before doing the quest!

2 | The Children of Vimara Village • Follow Rana. • Clear the Withering Zone with Dendrograna. • Head to Vimara Village. • Walk with Rana in Vimara Village. • Talk to Alphonso • Follow the children to Rana's house. • Talk to all three children. • Leave Vimara Village. |
3 | Into the Woods • Head west and clear the Withering Zone. • Continue clearing another Withering Zone. • Defeat the Spinocrocodiles in the river. • Go to camp. • Collect three Firewood. • Return to camp and light up the campfire. |
4 | The Lost Child • Head back to Vimara Village. • Seek Iotham inside a cave. • Go into the depths of the cave to look for Iotham. • Defeat the Fatui. • Proceed deeper within to look for Iotham. • Try to clean up the Withering Zone. • Return to Vimara Village. • Escort Iotham to Vimara Village. • Go to where Rana was. • Follow the strange traces. |
