How to Unlock the Memory of Stone Quest

Quest Unlock Prerequisites

Complete the first Varuna Gatha quest to automatically unlock Memory of Stone. It is one of the three required sub quests to progress Varuna Gatha, alongside Irate Iron Chunk and Slumbering Roots.

Memory of Stone Quest Objectives

1. Head to Yasna Monument.
2. Look for Aranakula nearby.
3. Sneak forward with Aranakula.
4. Go up the hill that Aranakula mentioned.
5. Clear the spores from the stone.
6. Find the "branch" underground.
7. Turn the three "leaves" towards the "branch."
8. Talk to Aranakula.

Head to Yasna Monument

Start the quest by heading to Yasna Monument. You can simply teleport from the Statue of the Seven west of Pardis Dhyai to get here.

Look for Aranakula in Yasna Monument

Look for Aranakula on the other side of a fallen hollow trunk. Upon going to Yasna Monument, you won't see Aranakula yet in the location shown above. It'll only show up once the objective changes to "Look for Aranakula nearby."

Move forward without being noticed

Sneak up with Aranakula by hugging the wall and away from the path of enemies in line so you don't get noticed. Use the quest objective marker as a guide on where you need to go. If you were spotted, you'll need to go back to Aranakula and do it again!

Clear the spores that cover the stone

Once you're in the hill, head up to the spored monument and clear the spores. You only need to approach the stone and press the button to remove it.

Find the "branch" together with Aranakula

The "branch" is located west of the hill inside a hidden underground hole. A four-leaf sigil can be found just outside the entrance.

Make the three "leaves" turn towards the "branch"

Like before, you'll need to turn the rocks to face it towards the rock. However, these rocks are found above ground. Here are the locations for each rocks:

Talk to Aranakula

Return to the underground cave and talk to Aranakula once all three leaves face to the branch. You'll know if you've completed it once the quest objective changes. This will complete the quest!

This quest is a sub-quest to complete the long Aranyaka quest chain, under Varuna Gatha. You'll need to complete all quests to advance the Dream Nursery questline in Sumeru!
