A Prayer for Rain on the Fecund Land Quest Objectives

1. Go to Varunastra in Apam Woods.
2. Drop down the new underground cave.
3. Head to The Rain's End.
4. Clear the spores from the object.
5. Try to defeat the Disturbed Fungus.
6. Talk to the Aranara.

Head near the Varunastra

Start the final quest of Varuna Gatha in Apam Woods. Head to the big glowing tree called the "Varunastra" found south.

Head to the underground space

After a short cutscene, the Aranara will open the entrance of the underground area, allowing you permanent access to it!

Head into the depths

Continue moving forward to the location of the underground waypoint. Activate it for easy access in the future! You'll find yourself in The Rain's End, the final puzzle location for the Varuna Gatha quests.

Clear the Spores

Talk to the Aranara by an object in the middle with spores sticking out of it. Clear the spores afterwards. Upon clearing the Fungi, the Disturbed Fungus will appear, which you'll have to defeat it. However, it will try to flee.

Defeat the Fungi

Around 50% HP, the Distrubed Fungus runs away. Follow the Fungus, going around the cave and fending all obstacles until you circle back from where you first started. Once you're back in the main room, proceed to defeat the Fungus. Talking to the Aranara afterwards will also complete the quest!

This quest is a sub-quest to complete the long Aranyaka quest chain, under Varuna Gatha. You'll need to complete all quests to advance the Dream Nursery questline in Sumeru!

Completing this quest unlocks two new sequels, Sprouting Seedlings and Giving Flowers. The former is automatically unlocked, and it's required to complete Dream Nursery's Children of the Forest quest.

Finishing both will give you a checkmark on your Aranyaka book.
