Competitive Analysis

G-Max Volt Crash

G-Max Volt Crash is Gigantamax Pikachu's signature move. Using this move guarantees that the target will be paralyzed and is a great way to do speed control.

However, this strategy may not be viable most of the time as you will waste your Dynamax/Gigantamax slot for a Pokemon that has not yet reached its fullest potential, stat-wise, as it can still evolve into Raichu.

If you are planning to inflict paralysis on your target, you can use Thunder Wave. If you want an offensive Electric-type Pokemon, Tapu Koko is a leading example.

If you want to achieve both inflicting paralysis and dealing damage, standard Electric-type moves like Thunder and Thunderbolt can be used, although paralysis is not guaranteed.

G-Max Volt Crash Locations

G-Max Volt Crash is only available via Gigantamax Pikachu using an Electric-type move.
