Competitive Analysis

Bolt Beak is Dracozolt and Arctozolt's signature move. The move's power is doubled when the Zolts move before the target, so it is absolutely essential to make both of these Pokemon fast to reach the full potential of this move.

Since Dracozolt and Arctozolt's Speed stats are not that high, 31 EVs can be allotted in order to improve the stat.

They can also hold Choice Scarf to boost their Speed even more, although watch out if you're facing Ground-type Pokemon as it will lock them into using a move that the target is immune to.

Trick Room teams can also make Bolt Beak ineffective, unless you built your Zolts to function specifically for Trick Room.
