Competitive Analysis

Thunder Cage is Regieleki's signature move. It traps the target in the field and it will not be able to switch out. It also deals chip damage for four to five turns.

Letting Regieleki hold Grip Claw will extend the trap to eight turns, while Binding Band increases the trapping damage.

This move has its uses for specific strategies, but it generally wastes Transistor which boosts the power of Electric-type moves.
