Competitive Analysis

Zap Cannon is a hard-hitting special Electric-type move. This move can deal big numbers of damage and is guaranteed to paralyze the target if it hits.

Zap Cannon suffers from having a low accuracy of 50. You can make it viable by setting up Lock-On to ensure Zap Cannon will hit but it would waste a turn that can otherwise be used for another attack or stat-raising move. Equipping the user with Wide Lens won't do much help.

Thunder is a better alternative if you want a powerful Electric-type move with a better 70 accuracy which can be maximized when used while it is raining. It also has the same power as Zap Cannon when used as Max Lightning.
