Competitive Analysis

Thunder Punch is a physical Electric-type move that has a chance to paralyze its target.

This move, much like Thunder Punch, fills the role of being a move that can be used against Water-type Pokemon. A couple of Rock and Ground-type Pokemon are able to learn this move, giving them a fighting chance to face Water-type threats.

It is also a great option to use this move as Max Lightning to prevent usage of any sleep-inducing moves with Electric Terrain.
