Dragon-type moves prove to be popular since it provides good neutral coverage against most types, although it does have it drawback against Fairy who are immune.

Dragon-type Moves and Base Power

Many Dragon-type moves have high base power and is supported by most Dragon-types boasting equally high attacking stats.

Moves like Outrage and Draco Meteor are common STAB moves for Pokemon Dracovish and Dragapult who are both staples in the current metagame.

Dragon-type Utility Moves

Though better known for their raw power, most Dragon-type moves also offer utility and support in battle. A good example is Dragon Dance, which is a staple boosting move for physical attackers.

Other noteworthy moves Breaking Swipe, which lowers the target's Attack stat by one stage and hits both Pokemon in Doubles. There's also Dynamax Cannon, Eternatus' signature move, which deals double damage against Dynamax Pokemon.

Dragon-type Dynamax Moves

With the introduction of Dynamax and Max Moves, Dragon-type moves become Max Wyrmwind which has the secondary effect of decreasing the Attack of the target and its allies by one stage which is used in some defensive teams.

Gigantamax Duraludon on the other hand has access to G-Max Depletion, which has the secondary effect of taking away 2 PP from the last move the target used, which can find itself in some niche stall teams.
