Life Orb Special Attacker Reuniclus.png

This build takes advantage of Reuniclus' Magic Guard ability. Since Magic Guard protects Reuniclus from non-attacking move damage, Reuniclus can benefit from the extra power from the Life Orb without taking any recoil damage.

In addition, with this wide-ranging moveset, you can easily take care of Pokemon like Corviknight and Toxapex. You can even handle bad type match-ups against Dark-type Pokemon using Focus Blast.

EVs for HP and Speed were adjusted so that you can outspeed a Toxapex with no EVs in Speed.

Other Viable Moves

Energy Ball Effective against Water/Ground Pokemon or Pokemon like Rhyperior
Trick Room Compensates for Reuniclus' low speed. Recommended for when you have multiple slow attackers in your party
Flash Cannon Effective against Fairy-type Pokemon
Recover Restores HP so Reuniclus can continue battling

Iron Defense

Physical Special Defensive Reuniclus.png

This build uses Calm Mind and Iron Defense to build up defenses and Reuniclus' Sp. Atk. By using those moves along with Recover, Reuniclus should be able to take a lot of hits and stay active in the fight for as long as possible.

Since Magic Guard prevents Reuniclus from taking burn damage, the Flame Orb serves to protect Reuniclus from other status conditions like paralysis and being frozen. It also protects Reuniclus from yawning Pokemon like Sylveon and Gastrodon.

Stored Power works well with Calm Mind, but should not be used against Dark-types.

Other Viable Moves

Psychic Psychic-type move that can be used early
Flash Cannon Steel-type move that can be used against anyone
Energy Ball Able to deal damage against all types

How to Use Reuniclus Effectively

Slow Special Attacker

While it may have low speed, it has good defensive and Sp. Atk stats, making it an excellent special attacker. You can also use Trick Room to change it into a fast attacker.

Can Take Hits While Setting Up

Reuniclus can set up with moves like Calm Mind and Acid Armor while restoring its HP with Recover. On top of that, Reuniclus won't take damage from status conditions like Poison and Curse thanks to Magic Guard, allowing it stay in the fight for much longer.

Attack with Dark-type Pokemon

Dark-type Pokemon work well against Reuniclus as their attacks are super-effective and they're immune to Psychic attacks. However, Dark-type Pokemon still need to watch out for a Focus Blast from Reuniclus.

Defend Against Fighting-Type Moves with Ghost-Type Pokemon

We also recommend using Ghost-type Pokemon against Reuniclus as these Pokemon render Focus Blast useless.

However, do note that Ghost-type Pokemon are vulnerable to Shadow Ball, so be careful.
