How to Forget and Relearn Moves

Forget or Releaern Moves

This guide discusses how to make your Pokemon forget and relearn moves in the games Pokemon Sword and Shield. Read on to find out how Pokemon can forget moves that they know and relearn moves they've forgotten.

How to Delete Moves

Go to Pokemon Center

Go inside any Pokemon Center in the game.

Go to the Booth on the Left

Move Tutor.jpg
There will be a a man in the booth at the left side of the Pokemon Center. Go ahead and talk to him.

Choose the “Forget a Move” option

Choose the “Forget a move” option from the choices available to delete a move.

Choose a Pokemon

Choose the Pokemon you want to delete a move from.

Choose a Move

Choose the move that you want to Delete and select “Yes”. The Pokemon will forget the move immediately.

How to Relearn Moves

Go to Pokemon Center

Go inside any Pokemon Center in the game.

Go to the Booth on the Left

There will be a a man in the booth at the left side of the Pokemon Center. Go ahead and talk to him.

Choose Remember a Move

Choose the Remember a Move option from the choices to relearn a move you have forgotten.

Choose a Pokemon

Choose the Pokemon you want to Relearn a move for.

Choose a Move to Relearn

Choose the move you want to Relearn and select “Yes”.

Choose a Move to Replace (If Moves are full)

If your Pokemon already knows 4 moves, you will be prompted to replace one Move in order for the Pokemon to Relearn the move. Select the move you want to forget to make room for the Relearned Move and select yes. After that, the selected move will be forgotten, and will be exchanged with the one you want the Pokemon to Relearn.
