How to Get the Master Ball
Receive it after entering the Hall of Fame
After entering the Hall of Fame and completing the game, you will receive the Master Ball from Professor Magnolia upon the next time starting the game.
Getting to the Champion Walkthrough
Receive one from Peony in the Crown Tundra
Once you've started the Crown Tundra's story and finished your first Dynamax Adventure, entering Freezington Inn to speak with Peony will get you a second free Master Ball.

Match the Winning Loto-ID number
Like in other games in the series, the Master Ball can also be obtained by correctly matching the winning Loto-ID.
Increase Winning Chances by Trading Pokemon
Trading Pokemon with other players helps increase your chances of winning the daily lottery since received Pokemon will retain their original Trainer ID number.
A good method of getting Pokemon with different ID numbers is by using the Y-Comm's Surprise Trade function.

Our recommendation for when to use the Master Ball is after completing the story, when faced with the Legendary Pokemon Zacian or Zamazenta. If you are not concerned about the type of ball your Pokemon go into, then the Master Ball is best saved for legendaries.
Use it when you want to save time on catching a Pokemon
Since the Master Ball is guaranteed to catch any Pokemon, you can use it to speed up the process of capturing any hard to catch Pokemon. These would include legendary Pokemon who cannot be obtained from an egg, Ditto, or Gigantamax bosses encountered in a raid.
